Chelmsford Anglican Bible Conference-Saturday 4th
October
Paul's letter to the Romans is the Mount Carmel of the New Testament
letters. It has had a dramatic influence on the Church, as we shall see in the
lives of Augustine, Martin Luther, John Wesley and Karl Barth. It has helped
the Church in every age to rediscover the gospel. While Paul writes it is,
"the power of God for salvation to those who believe."
We hope, as in previous
years, to take a party from the Benefice – if you are interested or would like
more details, please contact John at the office. It is held in the comfortable
surroundings of Chelmsford Central Baptist Church, 10am to 3:30pm. A day not
to be missed.

Rod's
Resignation
Rod Doulton sadly announced his resignation on 1st June. He said, "I have
resigned as the priest-in-charge of the United Benefice for personal reasons
and my licence for public ministry will be withdrawn as from today. The
Archdeacon of Colchester will be meeting with the churchwardens to consider
the future from the benefice point of view. Please pray for that meeting. I
would like to express my sincere thanks to everyone for the warmth of welcome
I've received and the support I've had during my time here."
A New Minister
PCCs are currently meeting and discussing all the issues that need to be
decided before the post can be advertised. The "profile" (job description) is
being put together and a link will appear on this site as soon as it is
finalised.
